Kenneth Buford “Sonny” Hicklen 77, of Ardmore, AL passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Sunday, May 2, 1943 in Ardmore, AL, he was the son of Kenneth Buford Hicklen, Sr. and Hazel Hemphill HIcklen.
Sonny has lived here all his life and was a member of First Baptist Church, Ardmore, AL. He loved his family and was always wiling to help a friend in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Robbie Hicklen Drake Swift.
He is survived by his wife, Dean Hicklen, Ardmore, TN; daughter, Vickey (Bobby) Barnett, Ardmore, AL; son, Anthony Hicklen, Ardmore, AL; sister, Joan Hicklen McNeese, Athens, AL; grandchildren, Halley (Joshua) Caldwell, Taft, TN, Jeffery (Jill) Underwood, Madison, AL, Alexis Barnett, Ardmore, AL; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Austin Huggins, Cody Swift, Jermaine McNeese, Scott Hall, Austin Hall, Jojo Clark, Brett Drake, Tommy Hancock, and Brady McNeese.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 3:30 PM at Gatlin Cemetery with Bro. Joshua Caldwell and Bro. Bobby Barnett officiating.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to a local church mission fund.
