Charles “Brandon” Thornton passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on July 4, 2020. He was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was predeceased by his mother, Alma Jean Michael, and his sons, Anthony Blake Thornton and Jerrod Allen Thornton. Brandon is survived by his wife, Susan Pearsall Thornton; children, Shelby Ann Pearsall, Clayton Edward Pearsall, and Samuel Brooks Pearsall; father, Charles Sterling Thornton (Patty), all of Huntsville; brothers, John Thornton (Stacy) and Stephen Thornton of Birmingham, and Charlie Thornton of Atlanta; and beloved nieces, Alyssa, Emmy, Grace and Sarah Thornton.

Brandon was an avid fisherman and devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He was also an accomplished tennis player having played for the University of Alabama in Huntsville’s Men’s Tennis Team.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8th at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with John Tanner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catch-a-Dream Foundation, 2485 Ennis Rd., Starkville, MS 39759 (www.catchadream.org), which provides hunting and fishing trips to children across the US and Canada who are suffering from a life-threatening illness; or a charity of your choice.
