Geraldine Smith, one of seven children, born to Hobart and Mamie Tucker in Falkville, AL. Her family moved to Danville Rd in Decatur in the early 40’s. Charles moved from Jackson, TN to Austinville to live with his aunt around the same time. She used to walk in the high grass from Austinville to her family’s house on Danville road. If that hadn’t happened, none of the above would’ve happened. Geraldine was a great wife and mother. She cooked very well, cleaned house, kept dad eating right, loved us deeply, and she always listened. This love came from her love for the Lord. She and Daddy made their commitment to Christ early on. They were faithful to serve the Lord in their church and at home. She taught Sunday school at Austinville Baptist Church for many years. Her teaching was enjoyed by all the ladies of the class every time she taught. Mom would pray for us all the time. It was a great home to be in and a great place to grow up.

Pallbearers: Greg Smith, Allen Smith, Zach Smith, Jake Smith, Jason Pitman, and Ben Pitman.
