Vera Louise Brooks, 71 of Double Springs, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Vera was born on July 2, 1948 Double Springs, Alabama to Bill and Vera Moody.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 11am to 12pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will follow at 12pm. Brother Mark Turner will officiate. Burial will be in New Hope (aka Kelly Mill) Cemetery in Double Springs.
Vera is survived by her sons, Eddie Hill and his wife Tammy, Brian Hill and his wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Bella Hill and Summer Spires; great grandchild, Raven Akins; brother, Murphy Moody; sisters, Margaret Sutherland, Bernice Odom and Mellonie Maze and her husband Terry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Brooks; parents, Calvis Murphy “Bill” Moody and Vera Knight Moody; daughter, Jennifer Michelle Waldrep; brother, Gene Knight; and sister Jenice Connell
