Hazel L. Kelsoe, 89, of Danville passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her residence. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 23,2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Francis Proctor officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
Born June 18, 1931 to Newt and Ida Hill, Hazel loved to garden, her flowers, quilting, but most of all her grandbabies, great grandbabies and her great-great grandbabies. She also loved yard sales and thrift store shopping.
Survivors include her daughters, Pat McKelvey and Lisa Owens; one sister, Tollese Criss; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Kelsoe; one son, Stanley Kelsoe; her parents; four brothers; and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Montgomery, Eddie Kelsoe, Larry Hill, Benny Kelsoe, Tony Hill and Tim Vinson.
The family extends special thanks to friends, family and Hospice of North Alabama Staff and a special thanks to Sue Ann Harville. The family wants to thank all their family and friends for the food, flowers, prayers and everything they did during the illness and loss of their mother.
