Roland Lee Creekmore

Mr. Roland Lee Creekmore, 85, passed away Thursday June 18, 2020 at Tennessee Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, TN from an extended illness.  Roland was born April 20, 1935, in Cottontown, TN to the late Richard and Irene Pitt Creekmore. Roland was a retired United States Air Force Master Sargent, past officer of Friends of Fall Creek Falls, member of the Van Buren County Rescue Squad for many years and a member of Welchland Baptist Church.

Roland was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He loved the outdoors with all its beauty and wildlife.  Loved animals, especially his Dalmatians. He was also a big lover of his favorite thing, fried pies.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son; Michael Creekmore, brothers; Robert, Terry, Joseph, and Russell Creekmore, grandson; Benjamin Hampson.

Roland is survived by his loving wife; Dorothy Baker Creekmore, sons; Stephen Hampson and Mark (Sandra) Creekmore both of Hendersonville, TN, daughters; Donna Davis of Portland, TN, Leslie Pack of Doyle, TN, Staci (Terri) Hatmaker of South Florida, brother; Richard Creekmore of Lafayette, TN, sister; June Canter of Gallatin, TN. Eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 20, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Forrest Creekmore officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Town Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday 10:00am till time of service at 2:00pm.

Military Honors will be conducted at Spencer Town Cemetery by American Legion Spencer Post 207.
