Dellus L. Helton, 93, of Iuka, MS passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Tishomingo Community Living Center in Iuka. Dellus was a WWII Navy Veteran who volunteered to enlist at the age of 17. He was an electrician and plumber who enjoyed working and worked an additional 22  years after he “retired” and worked until he was 85 years old. He was of the christian faith and enjoyed watching television, hunting, fishing, and gardening. Dellus was a 32nd Degree Mason who served 67 years as a member of the Iuka Lodge #94 F&AM. He was also a member of the Scottish and York Rite Bodies. He is survived by his sons, Roger Helton (Donna) and Lynn Helton (Kay); his sister, Lola Randolph; his grandchildren, Sean Helton (Anna), Jason Helton (Amanda), and Andrew Helton (Olivia); his great grandchildren, Chance Helton, Summerlin Helton, Julianna Helton, Quinan Helton, and River Cook; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Faye Nunley Helton; his parents, Robert Lee and Estella Armstrong Helton; his grandson, Charles Cook; his great granddaughter, Natalie Helton; and his daughter in law, Portia Helton. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 5pm until 9pm, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 1pm, at Oak Grove Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Jackie Pittman and Bro. Tony Curtis. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
