Mr. James Meredith Brock, 84, passed from this life Sunday June 14, 2020 at Life Care of Sparta from an extended illness. Meredith was born on March 31, 1936 to the late Joe Franklin and Sea Willow Johnson Brock. He was past owner and president of United Carpet Services Inc. in the Memphis, TN area, served his country in the United States Air Force and attended Spencer First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Ella June Braddon Brock, who passed away in 2014, grandson; Johnny Brock, brothers; B. K., Sam and John Brock, sisters Josephine, Mary, Sarah Ellen and Elizabeth Brock. Meredith is survived by his loving family, son: James (Toni) Brock of Collierville, TN, daughters; Terri (Mike) Allison of Bartlett, TN and Tammy (John) Eitel of Olive Branch, MS, grandchildren; Jim, Jeffrey, Tiffany, Kasey, Ashley, Tim, Samantha, Anthony and Hannah. Nineteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a large extended family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 17, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Nathan Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in the Molloy Cemetery.
