Glenda Ann Sapp Doss, age 81, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 7, 2Q20,
after a fifteen-year battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She was surrounded by her loving
family. She was born May 18, L939, to Euel A. Sapp and Marjorie T. Sapp, on Shelton Grove
Mountain, Cullman County, AL.
She attended Sacred Heart (Cullman) College and graduated from Auburn University in 1961.
Glenda taught business education classes at West Point High School in Cullman County most of
her career. She ended her teaching career at the Cullman County Vocational Center.
Glenda was an artist and saw beauty in the world around her. She was a musician and played
both piano and accordion. She was a talented cook and baker, and graciously shared meals and
baked goods with family, friends and neighbors. She was a loving friend and a generous,
thoughtful servant. She loved the Lord and enjoyed serving as a Sunday School and Vacation
Bible School teacher.
Glenda is survived by her husband of almost 61 years, Jack Morrow Doss; her son, Morrow Doss
and his wife, Laura; her daughter, Glenda Michelle Doss; her son, Logan Doss and his wife, Leah;
granddaughter, Leah Doss Lewis and her husband, Forrest; granddaughter, Emma Doss Fry and
her husband, Kendrick; grandsons, lan lrvine and lsaak lrvine; granddaughters, Anabela Doss
and Ava Doss; and great-grandson, Travis Morrow Lewis. All of these she loved and touched
deeply.
The Celebration of Life Service will be a small, grave-side service for close family and friends on
Friday, June 12, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Good Hope Cemetery in Good Hope, Alabama.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at
stjude.org under Glenda Doss, or a Hospice organization of your choosing.
