Mr. Walter Drury Tyree, Jr., age 94, of Trenton, TN went to Heaven on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Milan General Hospital. Public graveside services with Covid-19 restrictions, including social distancing, will be held at 2pm Monday, June 8, 2020 in Walnut Grove Cemetery west of Trenton.
Mr. Tyree was born March 15, 1926 in Gibson County Tennessee to the late Walter Drury Sr. and Gussie Mae Givens Tyree. He attended Spring Hill School. Mr. Tyree was a farmer and landowner. He worked for Kellwood in Trenton for several years and drove the bus for Spring Hill School at one time. Mr. Tyree had served as a Deacon and was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a friend to many.
Mr. Tyree is survived by his son, Walter Gale Tyree (Joanne) of Tulsa, OK; seven grandchildren, Stephen Walter Tyree (Erin) of St. Louis, MO, Joseph and John Tyree (Ryann) of Tulsa, OK; Kelly Tyree, Kortney Tyree, Kristy Tyree Green (Tucker), and Tyler Mays (Melissa) all of Trenton, TN; five great grandchildren, Aiden Walter Tyree, Adam Mays, Aleinia Simmons, Alexis Simmons, and Graylee Mays; one sister, Jennie Tyree Morgan of Nashville, TN; and a very dear friend, Vickie Bryant of Dyer, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Christine Bailey Tyree; by one son, Franklin Drury Tyree and his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials be made to Spring Hill Baptist Church.
