It is with regret we announce the passing of Ms. Teresa Carlene Chapman Henderson, age 53, of Fayetteville, TN. Teresa was born on September 15, 1966 in Lawrenceburg, TN to Dora Mae Watkins Chapman and the late Elmer Bethel White. She passed away on May 28, 2020, in Panama City, FL.

Teresa worked as a secretary for J.W. Kennedy and Associates. She was a long time member of the Fayetteville First Presbyterian Church before becoming a member of the Hazel Green United Methodist Church. She loved going to concerts, cooking, and motorcycle rides, but she was most passionate about spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Ms. Henderson is survived by her son, Johnny (Allison) Henderson, III of Hazel Green, AL; daughter, Bethany Henderson of Spring Hill, TN; grandchildren, Carter Henderson and Cason Henderson; siblings, Tammy Jo (Trint) Hagan and Paul Ray White of Lawrenceburg, TN and Judy Chapman of Columbia, TN; niece, Tessa Jo Hagan of Lawrenceburg, as well as, many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by adoptive father, John Thomas “J.T.” Chapman; and brothers, Steve, Jack, and William Larry “Punkin” Chapman.

Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Higgins Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 AM on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Higgins Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 1 PM in Fall River Cemetery, Leoma, TN.

In accordance with State of Tennessee Executive Order by Governor Bill Lee, social gatherings are limited to no more than 50 participants. For your safety we recommend face coverings, 6 feet social distancing, practicing good hygiene, and remaining home if you feel sick. The family invites you to share memories at higginsfh.com.
