Jackie Ray Abernathy, 78 of Harvest, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at home. Mr. Abernathy was born July 21, 1941 to James Abernathy and Geneva Pepper Abernathy.
Graveside services for Mr. Abernathy will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Abernathy; children, Terry Abernathy, Mike Abernathy (Jo Ann), Vicky Abernathy, Jackie Abernathy, Jr., Kim Beltz (John), Ira Beltz (Denise), Jim Beltz (Ann) and Dennis Hyde; 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 brothers; 5 sisters; several cousins
Preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; 1 sister.
He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.
Pallbearers are Terry Abernathy, Mike Abernathy, Jackie Abernathy, Ira Beltz, Jim Beltz and Dennis Hyde.
