Mr. David Matthew Dresdner, 85, passed from this life Sunday May 10, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Hospital. David was born in Montreal, Canada on May 2, 1935 to the late Max and Christina MacDonald Dresdner. He was retired from being self-employed in the Bio-Medical Engineering field and was of the Catholic faith. David loved living in Tennessee. He and his wife Suzanne made their home in the Long Branch Lakes Community of Van Buren County where they were surrounded by caring and loving friends. David loved his home, enjoyed doing projects around his property and was an active member of his community. He loved his family and was extremely proud of his children. He was a good friend to his neighbors. He read stories and helped collect toys for the children at Van Buren County Head Start, and he assisted the children in making birdhouses. In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by his son Neil Dresdner and first wife Carol Marie Durham Dresdner. He is survived by his loving wife; Suzanne Storms, sons; Mitchell (Diane) Dresdner, Bryan Dresdner, Barry (Ann) Dresdner, Thomas Dresdner and Kevin Dresdner, daughter; Allison Dresdner Airington, grandchildren; Rachel Marie, Stephen, Elissa, Cameron, Sean, Alix, Teagan, Quinn, Zachary, Chelsey and Rachel Lynn Dresdner, great-grandchildren; Sebastian, Savannah and Robert Dresdner, step-children; Guy and Craig Vanderhoof and Craig’s children: Alyssa and Craig, and Alyssa’s children: Dakota and Amber. David chose cremation as his final disposition. A Memorial service is planned for mid-summer and details will be announced at a later date.
