Athens Police Arrest Suspect In April 29 Robbery

ATHENS-On Wednesday, May 6 Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson issued a statement on the arrest of a suspect who has been charged with Robbery 1st degree in the robbery that took place on Wednesday, April 29:

“Quami Mingle was arrested yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, May 5) for robbery first degree.

On April 29, 2020 the police department responded to a robbery in the Eastside Junction parking lot. The victim told officers a male pointed a pistol at him and demanded the keys to his car. There were no injuries in the robbery. 

Sergeant Jonathan Caldwell investigated the case and developed Mingle as the suspect. Mingle was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail.”
