Two-Vehicle Accident Near New Market Takes Life Of Teen

HUNTSVILLE-On Monday, May 4 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency issued a statement concerning the death of a teenager that occurred in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday.  Names of the injured  and the victim have not been released:

“A two-vehicle crash at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, May 2, has claimed the life of a teenager.

A 2016 Lexus RX350 struck a 1989 Jeep at the intersection of Butler Road and Joe Quick Road in the New Market community. The Jeep overturned and a 16-year-old driver and a 16-year-old passenger were ejected.

The driver and the passenger of the Jeep were injured and were transported to a local area hospital. The 16-year-old driver died at the hospital from his injuries.

The crash occurred 8 miles north of Huntsville. Nothing is further as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.”
