Betty Ann Doty

Betty Ann Doty, 70, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Lawrenceburg, TN.

Betty was born on December 12, 1949 in Nebraska to parents William and Lucille Boelter Alder.

Betty grew up in a small town in Nebraska with 6 siblings. She moved all over the south before finally landing in Leoma, TN in the late 80’s. She worked with Hughes and Parker on a progressive press for 18 years before retiring. Betty had a an appreciation for nature especially, Lily Ponds. She had a particular fascination for Koi fish and their ponds. She also loved to sort out puzzles, the harder the better. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is loved and will be dearly missed.

Betty is survived by her daughter: Beth Bargen of Leoma, TN; sons: Brian (Melissa) Bargen of Superior, NE, Richard Bargen of Indiana, Lonnie (Vicki) Doty of O’Niell, NE, Ronnie (Jen) Doty of Chambers, NE, and Curtis of Wyoming; step daughters: Charolette and Beverly; granddaughters: Ashley Bargen, Kimberly Bargen, Britni Lovegrove, Ashlei
Roesti; grandsons: Chase Butler, Jarett Roesti, Steve Doty, and Dustin Crane; great grandsons: Kayson Bargen and Soren Doty; and great granddaughters: Seriena Doty and Kylie Roberts; Brothers: Dennis of Giltner, NE, David of Norfolk, NE, and Danny Alder of O’Neill, NE; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Richard Doty; brothers: Delmer and Dean Alder and granddaughter: Misty McWhorter.

A Private service will be held at a later date.
