Frances J. McBride age 85 of Hermitage and a native of Smithville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 24, 2020 at her residence. She was born August 17, 1934 to her parents, the late Lonnie Clifton and Josie Hullett Braswell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl McBride; 2 children, Patricia Gail McBride and Ronnie McBride; grandson, Andrew McBride Ferris and sister, Mary Threadgill. Fances was a hairdresser and homemaker, she attended The Gathering in Smithville until she moved to Heritage in 2015. She leaves to cherish her memory, 2 daughters, Cindy (Grover) Moss and Angie (Rob) Havener both of Hermitage; 2 nieces, Pam (Glen) Beeler and Nina Zweep; 2 brothers-in-law, John (Mary) McBride of Mt. Juliet and Charles (Marie) McBride of Brentwood. Due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus and the Governors Executive Order 17, the family will be having a Private Graveside Service at Whorton Springs Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alive Hospice, in memory of Ms. Frances.
