COVID-19 numbers rise as first patient leaves hospital

MONTGOMERY-As of Tuesday evening, March 17 the number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 39.

With the release from the hospital of the first COVID-19 patient who was discharged from the Baptist Medical Center on Tuesday. On Tuesday as well a student from St. Clair County school system has tested positive for COVID-19.  A letter was by St. Clair County School Superintendent Mike Howard to alert those involved of the COVID-19 case. It is not known at this time how the student contracted the virus or if this is already included in the numbers released by ADPH.

People who believe they may be infected should call their doctor or the ADPH hotline number for information on testing: 888-264-2256.
