Eugenia Hamlett Curtis 96, of Ardmore, TN died Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama.

Born Wednesday, March 5, 1924 in Ardmore, TN, she was the daughter of Joe Cheatham Hamlett and Elizabeth Rawls Hamlett.

Ms. Curtis was a life long member of Ardmore Methodist Church. She was an Active Volunteer at Giles County Library Genealogical Room and the Ardmore Library. She worked at the Ardmore, TN voting precinct for 47 years. She was recognized by the University of Tennessee as the longest living continuous donor to the University. She made a gift for 76 consecutive years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Wade (Bob) Curtis; sister, Elaine Hamlett Potts.

She is survived by daughter, Carol (John) Sheridan, Knoxville, TN; sons, Bob Wade (Brenda) Curtis, Elkton, TN, Rick (Wanda) Curtis, Murfreesboro, TN, and John S. (Donna Jo) Curtis, Athens, AL; grandchildren, Rob (Leslie) Curtis, Will (Nana) Curtis, Patrick (Carla) Sheridan, Austin (Sara) Sheridan, Daniel (Allison) Sheridan, Amy Sheridan Suttles, Alex (Tara) Curtis, Justin (Devin) Curtis, Michael (Candice) Henslee, Lauren, (Adam) Brown, Lauren
Graham, Landon (Whitney) Curtis, and Landria (Kyle) Smith; 17 great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Ardmore United Methodist Church, Ardmore, TN, at 10:00 AM with Rev. Debbie Eubanks officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Pulaski, TN.
