Mrs. Ann B LawsonAnn B. Lawson, 81, born in Cleveland Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 10 surrounded by her loving family.

Ann Lawson has lived in the Arab community for approximately 53 years. She is a member of the Gilliam Springs Baptist Church. She worked for Bell South Telephone Company for over 30 years and spent her retirement enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was married to Joe Lawson for 42 years. They were avid Alabama football and Atlanta Braves fans.

Preceding in death by her parents, Verbon and Carrie Blackwood; husband, Joe S. Lawson.

Survived by her children, Randy Lawson (Marsha), Jonita Roy (Kenny), Sandy Jones (Barry); two sisters, Betty Millican and Eugenia Holmes; grandchildren, Christen Bridges (Chris), Melissa Houston, Corey Lawson (Elizabeth), Amber Bentley (John), Brittney Ross (Skyler), Todd Lawson (Taylor), Megan Wilburn (Ronnie), Andrea Roy, Cyndi Roy, and Ginny Benedict (Joey); eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2020 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Max Roden and James Earl Pate, officiating. Burial will follow service at Brookwood Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include, Corey Lawson, Todd Lawson, John Bentley, Chris Bridges, Ronnie Wilburn II and Skyler Ross; honorary pallbearers, Jackson Houston and Troup Bridges.
