Christopher "Chris" Alan Burbank Christopher “Chris” Alan Burbank, 54, passed away February 20, 2020 after a sudden illness. A Celebration of Life service will be at First Baptist Church Center Star March 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Christa, and their daughter Ella Grace. He is also survived by his mother Mevaline Burbank, his brothers, Garry Burbank (Susan), Darren Burbank (Rhonda), his sister, Sandra Horton, his in-laws, Maurice and Sue McGill, numerous nieces and nephews and his favorite dog El-Lee. Chris was preceded in death by his dad, Hurshel Burbank.

Everything Chris did he always did with his whole heart. He was a wonderful husband, daddy, son, brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, and friend. Anyone who knew Chris knows that he was always willing to give a helping hand whenever and wherever he could to help anyone whether home, family, church or work. He was loved and respected by everyone who met him.

Chris was a Christian, member, and deacon of First Baptist Church Center Star. He always loved working with the RA’s, Mission Friends, youth groups at church, church camps, Room in the Inn and other church ministries. He loved helping where he was needed at Legacy Christian Academy. He had a servant’s heart and desired to be the hands and feet of his Savior.

He loved his family beyond measure and his favorite thing to do was have family time with his wife and daughter, playing Legos, building sand castles and looking for sea shells with his daughter, and eating at the Fish Creel with his wife. Chris was a favorite and fun Uncle to his nieces and nephews. He loved spending time with them whether playing in the pool or taking trips to the beach or mountains. He is a graduate of Lexington High School Class of `83 where he loved playing football and his friends. Chris also appreciated his job and the people he worked with at Southwire. Chris was always fixing things for people and if he did not know how he would research it till he got it done.

We are heartbroken but Chris would be the first to tell you that God has a bigger plan than we can see. We know Chris is in heaven rejoicing with the Lord and we will see him again someday. Well done thou good and faithful servant.
