Wilburn A. PottsWilburn A. Potts, age 87, passed away on February 14, 2020, at Lifecare Center of Columbia.

He was born on April 2, 1932, to the late Leonard Potts and Robbie Gunnels Potts in Maury County, Tennessee. He retired from Goodyear, the Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carrier, and Potts Garage in Santa Fe, Tennessee. He enjoyed coaching men’s softball throughout the county and was also an avid fur trapper for many years. He was the caretaker of Santa Fe Cemetery for numerous years. He served our country as an Air Force Staff Sgt. During the Korean War. He was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his loving wife: Colleen Potts of Santa Fe to whom he was married for 63 years; sons: Barry (Regina) Potts of Ft Mill, South Carolina and Jerry (Tonjia) Potts of Santa Fe, Tennessee; special niece: Patsy Johnson; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Scott) Weygand; Hannah (Justin) Turney, Harrison (Courtney) Potts, Kara Potts, and Molly Potts; great-grandchildren: Maralyn Weygand, Emalyn Weygand, Baylor Turney, Leighton Turney, and Laurence Weygand; brothers: R. L. Potts, Dean Potts, Ray Potts, Billy Potts, and Danny Potts; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Potts; and sister, Linda Potts.

There will be a Graveside Service on Sunday, February 16, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Santa Fe Cemetery with R. L. Potts and Billy Potts Officiating.

Pallbearers are Harrison Potts, Justin Turney, Eric Johnson, Scott Weygand, Joey Potts, Jason Potts, Bobby Berry, and Jimmy Tucker.
