Rosa Marvanell “Nellie” Ezell Townsend, age 91, of Five Points, TN passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Five Points, TN, retired from Dura Automotive, and a member of Bonnertown Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Crutcher and Minnie Belew Ezell; her husband, William Ozro Townsend; two brothers, Wallace Ezell and Reavis Ezell; and three sisters, Marie Thomas, Selma Lee Mink, and Wylodean Boston.
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Nunley (Nathan); one son, Andy Townsend (Mannie); five grandchildren, Lindsey Cox (Jeremy), Lucas Nunley (Jessica), Logan Nunley, Valerie Turner, and Andrew Townsend; six great-grandchildren, Kedrin Cox, Elim Cox, Ila Cox, Crutcher Townsend, George Turner, and Piper Nunley; two brothers, Garner Ezell (Joann) and Sam Ezell (Brenda); and four sisters, Edith Brown, Martha Nelson (Alvin), Betty Evans, and Jean Vandenbos.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Bonnertown Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00 PM Friday, February 14, 2020, with Chris Joiner and Carlos Casteel officiating. Interment will follow at Bonnertown Cemetery in Bonnertown, TN.
