  ATHENS-On Monday, February 10 Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson issued a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect for Endangering the Welfare of a Child:

Early Sunday morning Athens Limestone Ambulance Service requested our assistance at 302 Wickerberry Lane.

When officer Joseph Kimery arrived with the ambulance he saw Joseph Shane Greenhaw under the influence of an unknown substance acting strangely. Greenhaw was taking care of his 2 month old son. Greenhaw was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child. Limestone DHR was contacted to take care of the child.

Greenhaw was booked at the police department and transported to the county jail.”
