Judy Currie Shackelford White

Judy Currie Shackelford White of Iuka entered Heaven’s gate on February 4, 2020. Born in 1941 to Edward Shackelford and Aileen Wingo Shackelford, Judy married Thomas White of Iuka in 1957. She pursued a career in Business Management starting with Belk’s Department Stores, earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, and rose to become Director of the Business Office of the Baptist Memorial Hospital System in Memphis. After retirement, she returned to Iuka with her husband, and joined the Iuka Baptist Church. Together, Tom and Judy were members of The Gideons and their Auxiliary for nearly fifty years. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Tom White; her daughter, Currie Malone of Iuka; her son, Ed White of Knoxville; her daughter, Anne Kenworthy of Memphis; her sister, Betty Moore of Iuka; her brother, Benny Shackelford of Iuka; and grandchildren, Miles Malone, Lauren Malone, Brooke Kenworthy, and Solvi Thompson. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 8, at Snowdown United Methodist Church where Tom and Judy were married and will be officiated by Bro. John Gwatney. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 7, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka.
