Jackie Marlan Key, 78, of Moulton passed away January 25, 2020, at his residence. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home, Moulton AL. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Godbee and Bro. Hollis Retherford officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens Cemetery. Jackie was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church where he was a youth choir director, Sunday school teacher, and treasurer. He was an avid goat farmer. He loved the Lord, he loved his family, he loved his friends and he loved his GOATS. He was a member of the 1959 graduation class of LCHS. He received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration from Athens State College in 1989. He served six years in the military. He also served as an Auxiliary Policeman. He was retired from 3M.

Survivors include his wife Jewel Dean Blankenship Key, two sons; David Franklin Key (Kemper), Carlos Jason Key (Tina), two daughters; Sharon Marlean Key Pitt (Tony), Heather Sheree Key Kerby (Todd), seven grandchildren; Colton Pitt(Delia), Marlon Pitt, Forrest Key, Amberley Key, Hannah Key, Ruthy Key, Austin Kerby, one great-grandson, Jackson Pitt, five sisters; Brenda Montgomery, Sandra Betterton (Andy), Carolyn Turner (Anthony), Marilyn Campbell (Gary) and Kathy Blankenship (Jerreld), two brothers; Dewight Key (Benita), Dewayne Key (Donna).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hadley and Annie Ruth Stewart Key.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Montgomery, Jon Key, Logan Key, Daniel Turner, Riley Turner, Byron Terry, Alvin Jr. Terry, Tony Blankenship, Scott Terry.

The family extends special thanks to Kindred Hospice, Lawrence Medical Center, Decatur Morgan Hospital Staff and Stephanie Lanier.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lawrence Medical Center.
