Songwriter Ed Hill Releases Fresh Take On ‘Be My Baby Tonight’ February 14

MUSCLE SHOALS-(Muscle Shoals, Alabama – January 13, 2020 ) 28 years after the question “Could ya, would ya, ain’t ya gonna, if I ask ya, would you wanna be my baby tonight?”, veteran songwriter Ed Hill releases this country classic with a new feel and gentler tempo, creating a ballad. The February 14, 2020 release date for the “Be My Baby Tonight” single is the first single from Ed’s upcoming “Old Gringo” Artist Album through the Muscle Shoals Recordings label.

Written by Ed Hill and Rich Fagan in 1992 and Recorded by John Michael Montgomery, “Be My Baby Tonight” became a Number One Billboard Chart-topper in August of 1994. The 2020 release was recorded at Wishbone Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama with production direction by Billy Lawson who contributes drums and rhythm as well. Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section member Clayton Ivey plays Hammond C3, piano, and strings on this single.

Grammy nominated songwriter Ed Hill had his first major label single in 1989 with Reba McEntire’s “’Til Love Comes Again”.
