Marshall Monroe Taylor 69, of Elkmont,AL died Monday, January 13, 2020 at his residence.
Born Saturday, September 2, 1950 in Athens, AL, he was the son of Harris Talmadge Taylor and Ruby Leona Hughes Taylor.
Marshall was a founding member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. He physically helped build the church building. He worked at the Pants Factory in Ardmore, Tn for 30+ years. While there he went to Jamica and Haiti to set up new clothing plants. He worked for Dollar General Market for 14 years where he held the position as floor manager and also worked at the Ardmore and Elkmont Post Offices for 4 years. Marshall was a lover and tamer of all animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stanley Taylor, Tim Taylor and Grady Paul Taylor.
He is survived by life companion, David Bell, Elkmont, AL-Dellrose, TN; brothers, Bobby Taylor, Minor Hill, TN, Roy Taylor, Elkmont, AL, Robert Taylor, Athens, AL and Ted Taylor, Elkmont, AL; sisters, Marvlene Wray, Prospect, TN and Judy Newman, Elkmont, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, Sandlin Rd., Elkmont, Alabama from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, Sandlin Rd., Elkmont, AL, at 11:00 AM with Bro. Jeremy Hill officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, Elkmont, AL.
