One Dead And Two Injured In Two-Vehicle Accident Near Hillsboro

HILLSBOROOn Friday, January 10 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident near Hillsboro that has taken the life of one person and injured two other people:

“At 4:40 pm on January 10, 2020, a two-vehicle crashed on AL 20 in Lawrence County claimed the life of a Hillsboro woman.

  Frances Addington Terry, 77, was driving a 2013 Cadillac XTS when she failed to yield the right of way to a 2017 Nissan Versa driven by Cornesheia Dillard, 27, also from Hillsboro.  The crash occurred at the intersection of AL 20 and County Road 400 in the city limits of Hillsboro. 

Terry was taken to Parkway Medical Center in Decatur, Alabama where she died from injuries sustained in the crash.  Dillard received minor injuries.  A 2-year-old child riding with Dillard, also received minor injuries. 

Nothing further is available as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.”
