Mrs. Juanita Brooks, age 89, of Arab, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mrs. Brooks was born on April 28, 1930 in Randolph County to Moroah Amon Gilliland & Mary Ann Gaberil Gilliland. Her hobbies included reading and cooking. She had taught Sunday School classes at Gilliam Springs Baptist Church where she was a member.
Mrs. Brooks is survived by her daughter-in-law, Samantha Berry; grandchild, Maci E. Hamilton (David). In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas “Doug” Brooks; son, William David “Dave” Brooks; 2 brothers & 2 sisters.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Max Roden officiating. Burial will be in the Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will include Jr. Plunkett, Ken Plunkett, Alvie Plunkett, Barry Plunkett, David Hamilton & Phillip Brooks.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
