Rob and Cheryl traveled to the far corners of the world and visited many of the U.S. national parks. He was young at heart, loved Christmas, spending time with family, and will be remembered for his kind and compassionate spirit.

Rob was preceded in death by his father, Earl, mother, Shirley, and sister, Lisa Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; siblings, Susan Miller (Kevin), Jennifer McCool (Alex), and Patrick Hoard (Vicki Gaught); brother-in-law, Robert Day; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and a great-nephew.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, December 29th at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, followed immediately by a memorial service. He will be buried in the Day Family Cemetery in West Liberty, KY alongside four generations of his wife’s family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Huntsville Hospital Foundation, 801 Clinton Ave., Huntsville, AL 35801, or online at www.huntsvillehospitalfoundation.org (specify ICU waiting area), or the USO at www.uso.org.
