IRON CITY, TN-On Wednesday, December 18 the 22nd Judicial District Drug Task Force along with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department seized more than 300 marijunana plants , as well as equipment to grow and extract the THC oil from the plants.

The raid took place at a 7,500 sq. ft building located at the 3600 block of Chisholm Road in Iron City, Tennessee.  District Attorney Brent Cooper called the bust the “most elaborate indoor grow/extraction operation” he’s seen in his career.

This raid was part of the arrest made in Colbert County on Friday, December 20 of Dr, Stuart Marc Greenberg who has been charged in Alabama with drug trafficking and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Additional charges in Tennessee against Greenberg are four charges including manufacture of marijuana, conspiracy of manufacturing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The investigation will continue until the chemicals are disposed of and the extraction lab is properly dismantled, authorities say.
