Russellville Optometrist Arrested On Drug Trafficking Charges After Raid On Grow House Near Tennessee State Line

TUSCUMBIA-On Friday, December 20 a Russellville optometrist was arrested in connection with a large marijuana growing operation.

Stuart Marc Greenberg, 45 of 102 Saint Andrews Drive in Muscle Shoals turned himself in to Colbert County Sheriff Frank Williamson at 1:00PM  Friday.

Greenberg was booked into the Colbert County Jail and released after paying a portion of his $60,000 cash bond.  According to Sheriff Williamson Greenberg has been charged with drug trafficking and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Over ten pounds of marijuana was seized from one location near the Alabama-Tennessee line.  This being one of several suspected location of houses where marijauna was being grown.

Williams said more charges are expected to be levied against Greenberg in Tennessee.

The arrest is the result of an operation involving several law enforcement agencies in Alabama and Tennessee, including the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office and Colbert County Drug Task Force.
