Lawrence Lee Wood, 71, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, at his residence. Mr. Wood was a member of North Crossroads Community Church. He retired from King Manufacturing Co. in Corinth after working as a machinist for forty years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gospel music. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and he never met a stranger. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, at North Crossroads Community Church. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time. Services will be officiated by Bro. Bobby Christian and Bro. Travis Smith. Interment will follow in North Crossroads Community Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret B. Wood of Iuka, MS; one son, Lewis Lee Wood and wife, Donna, of Iuka, MS; one daughter, Janice W. Jones of Iuka, MS; four grandchildren, Brian Lee Wood and wife, Nikki, of Camden, TN, Amanda W. Webb and husband, Matt, of Florence, AL, and Ethan C. Jones and Jake R. Jones, both of Iuka, MS; two great-grandchildren, Julianne Wood and Lois Amelia Wood, both of Camden, TN; a sister-in-law, Nellie Wood of Iuka, MS; and a brother-in-law, Pat Odel of Manchester, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, A. B. and Rutelia Hicks Wood; two brothers, Clinton C. Wood and Leonard Wood; an infant brother; and two sisters, Bertha Odel and Ruby Carlisle.
