Sammy Alexander, 70, of Hatton passed away, Monday, December 16, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM till 3:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Rock Springs Mitchell Memorial Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the church on Friday, December 20, 2019 with Marcus Lipscomb officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Mitchell Memorial Presbyterian Cemetery.
Sammy was always doing something, from working in the yard, running a combine or a tractor, operating a dozer, trackhoe, motorgrader, or restoring an antique tractor. He was the best at all of it in his families eyes.
Survivors include his wife of twenty five years; Donna Rutherford Alexander, two sons; Ashley Alexander (Cherie) and Lucas Spears (Beth), his daughter; Meleah Alexander, three grandsons; Cody Crutcher (Chelsey), Tanner Gillespie and Aaron Alexander, three granddaughters; Whitney Alexander, Lily Spears and Madeline Spears and one great grandson; Bryland Crutcher.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Forney Alexander and Genevie Warhurst.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Roberson, Scott Hagood, Rod Rutherford, Cody Crutcher, Tanner Gillespie and Aaron Alexander. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Mason Rutherford and Colin Rutherford.
