Joseph W. O’Neill Sr. – Obituary

Joseph W. O’Neill Sr., 79, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. He was a member of Mt. Zion Jesus Name Church. He retired after 28 years with Time DC in Memphis, TN and was a member of Teamsters Local #667. He was a gifted singer and songwriter and was a member of BMI Music Union. His greatest joy in life was his family. Visitation is scheduled for 4:30 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Terry Garrett and Bro. Gerald Grisham. Interment will follow in Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Joshua Martin, Louis Ferguson III, Micheal O’Neill, Louis Ferguson Jr., Charles Ricky Smith and Terry Garrett. Honorary Pallbearers include David Martin Jr. and Dr. Al Flannery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Winnie Louise (Wendy) O’Neill of Iuka, MS; 3 daughters, Dana Jo Smith and husband Ricky of Hickory Flat, MS, Joyce Lynnette Ferguson and husband Louis of Iuka, MS and Angela Kaye Sparks of Iuka; 1 son, Joseph W. O’Neill Jr. and wife Sandra of Natchez, MS; 1 sister, Faye Prince of Covington, TN; 2 brothers, Everitt O’Neill of Hernando, MS and David O’Neill of Sardis, MS; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Alice O’Neill, 2 brothers, Patrick and Jerry O’Neill and 2 sisters, Margaret Cook and Martha O’Neill.
