Dallas Barclay, 81, of Boaz, Alabama, passed away at the comfort of his own home December 4th 2019.

Dallas is survived by two children, his son Mark, wife Cia (two sons Austen and Chase); his daughter Ellen Anderson, husband Mark; two stepsons Jack Spillers, wife Frances (son and daughter Jake and Sherry) and Mich Spillers, wife Debora (sons and daughter Mickey, Jacob, Addy); loving great-grandchildren and extended family. Dallas was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.

Dallas was born February 5th, 1938 in Sardis, Alabama to Floyd and Thelma Barclay. He graduated from Boaz High School in 1957 playing both football, basketball, and tennis. Dallas loved sports, especially golf; opening his own golf store in the mid 80’s. Dallas worked with insurance and petroleum in the early part of his career then opening his own business in 1982 with his wife Rachel (Barclay Gold, Barclay Golf, and Barclay RV Park) for many years in downtown Boaz. He spent his free time caring for his beloved wife and playing an occasional game of golf with friends.  Dallas was always there to help relatives, friends and neighbors.

Family visitation will be from 5:00 until 6:00 PM and all other 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the McRae Funeral Home, Boaz, Alabama, Sunday, December 8th.

Funeral services for Dallas will be from 11:00 until Noon at the McRae Funeral Home, Boaz, Alabama, Monday, December 9th

Burial services for Dallas will be 2:00 PM at Rock Springs (Cemetery) Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Mount Hope, Alabama on Monday, December 9th
