Glenda Staley age 73 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday morning, December 4, 2019 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. She was born August 19, 1946 in Guntersville, AL. She was a retired factory worker and a Baptist. Glenda was preceded in death her parents, Guynell and Jewel “Red” Mabe; husband, Danny Staley; brother, Eddie Mabe and sister, Carol Looney. She is survived by 2 daughters, Tina Rowland and Lee Ann (Michael) Williams both of Smithville; grandchildren, Zachery (Kristen) Rowland, Hunter and Caleb Williams; 1 great-granddaughter, Kambree Elizabeth Rowland; aunt, Jo Ann (Rodney Wrenn of AL; uncles, Donald (Carolyn) Douglas of AL and Carlon (Jeanette) Mabe of Smithville; brother-in-law, Ronnie Staley of Smithville; sisters-in-law, Regina Cantrell of McMinnville and Beverly Studd of Bethpage; nephews, Don and Jimmy Crips; 2 great-nieces, Stormie and Chloe Crips. Funeral services will be 11:AM Saturday, December 7, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial will follow in Bonham Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 2:PM until 8:PM, Friday 2:PM until 8:PM and Saturday 9:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
