One Suspect Arrested/Second Suspect At Large In Limestone County Robbery

ATHENS-On Tuesday, November 27 Limestone County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement concerning the arrest of one suspect and information on another suspect still at large in the robbery of a store on Saturday, November 23:

“One Athens man is in custody and another is wanted by investigators after the two allegedly robbed the B & K Grocery in the Reid Community Saturday night.

Matthew Alan Wright, 25 was the driver of the vehicle used in the robbery.  He is charged with robbery 1st degree (2 counts) and is held in the Limestone County Jail on $100,000 bond.

degree (2 counts) as well as previous unrelated charges.  The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office asks for the public’s assistance in locating Burrell.  He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.  If you have information of his whereabouts, please contact Investigator Durden at 256-232-0111.

On Saturday, November 23rd, Limestone County  deputies and investigators responded to a robbery at the B & K Grocery store at 15238 Huntsville-Brownsferry Road.  Investigators discovered the vehicle used wa a 2000s model white Dodge Stratus with several stickers in the back glas and no tag.  Investigators located the vehicle at Bonnie Doone Apartments.  After reviewing security footage investigators discovered that Matthew Wright had removed the stikers from the vehicle, and they located the stickers on the ground next to the vehicle.  During the investigation it was discovered that Wright was the driver of the vehicle in the robbery and he was hiding in Ardmore, AL.  With the assistance of the Ardmore Police, deputies took Wright into custody on MOnday night.  Investigators also identified the man in the store security video with the gun as 20-year-old Jaterrius Tywon Burrell.  Burrell and Wright are neighbors at Bonnie Doone Apartments.  Burrell had active warrants at the time of the robbery and now has two additional robbery 1st warrants.”
