Charles Crabtree was born November 20, 1934 in Nashville Tennessee. He passed away on November 20, 2019, on his 85th birthday, at his home in Mt Juliet, Tennessee.
He went to Howard High School in South Nashville, where he lettered in football, baseball and basketball. After graduating, he attended Watkins Business College in Nashville. He worked at Metro Nashville Government where he retired as the Assistant Director of Public Works. He loved playing golf and continued playing until the last year of his life.
He is survived by his wife: Carol Crow Crabtree; daughter Sherrie (Tim) Yokley; granddaughter: Valerie Hopkins; grandson Chuck (Lauri) Yokley; and seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Mary Sue Merony Crabtree.
Services will be Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Williams Funeral Home, Columbia at 11:00 AM with Bro. Jim Kubic officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Family will visit with friends from 9:00 AM until time of service.
