Mrs. Vera West Davis, 82, of Woodville, died on Sunday, November 17, 2019.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Groves Holiness Church with Bro. Nick West and Bro. Auther McAllister officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Pleasant Groves Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her children, Connie (Debbie) Davis and Steve (Kaye) Davis; grandchildren, Jessica (Aaron) Key, Nathan (Cynthia) Davis, Natalie (Dewayne) Wilson, Ashley (Kyle) Morris, Craig (Haley) Davis, and Cole (Kara) Pence; great grandchildren, Leigh-Anna Davis, Adrie-Ana Davis, Cescily Wilson, Ava Morris, Allison Key, Cooper Wilson, Alex Key, Luke Morris, Layla Key, and Brooks Pence; brother, Kenneth (Catherine) West; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon (Bud) Davis; parents, Jack and Hettie West; brothers, Ernest (Ruth) West and Thomas Duke (Betty) West; and sisters, Mildred (Gordon) Peacock, Gertrude (Clarence) Cain, Audrey (Willard) Short, Retha (Ray) Hudgins, Jean (James) Pence, Ella Mae West, and Mandy West.
