Mattie “Pat” Barnes, 83, of Iuka, MS, died Friday, November 15, 2019, at the Tishomingo Community Living Center. Mrs. Barnes was a faithful member of Antioch Freewill Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved gardening and yardwork. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Harold Lynn Barnes of Burnsville, and Marty Don Barnes of Jackson; one brother, Sanford Hudson of Corinth; three sisters, Peggy Pickens of Corinth, June McCutchens of Booneville, and Jane McKee of Corinth; four grandchildren, Kimberly Pittman (Jeremy) of Iuka, Randy Barnes (Jill) of Brandon, Walker Barnes of Jackson, and Kirstie Bryant (Cody) of Jackson; and six great-grandchildren, Jackson Pittman, Byron Barnes, Jacob Pittman, Kailyn Pittman, Reagan Walker Bryant, and Julie Foster. The family would like to give special thanks to her favorite CNA’s, Christy Sides and Marecia Browning, and the rest of the staff at Tishomingo Community Living Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie “J. B.” Barnes; her parents, Bud and Stella Hudson; a daughter-in-law, Sonja Barnes; three brothers, Clay Hudson, Joe Hudson, and Burt Hudson; and three sisters, Christine Burcham, Fannie Fowler, and Gladys Hughes. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m., Sunday, November 17, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Mike Edwards. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers include Lawrence Lambert, Doyle Rorie, Mark McKee, Jeremy Pittman, Harold Holder, Bryan Bray, Jackson Pittman, and Walker Barnes. Visitation is scheduled for 12:30 until 3:30 p.m., Sunday, November 17, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen.
