Lesley Danforth Guerin, age 63, of Arab, passed away on Thursday, November 7th, 2019 at her residence.
Ms Guerin was born on December 6th, 1955 in Detroit, MI to the late John Paul and Murial Demming Danforth. After acquiring a Master’s Degree in Education, Lesley became a gifted educator, working primarily with the severely handicapped and disabled. Later in life, she relocated to Alabama and taught herself to proudly be the only woman in her class to pass the Professional Engineering Exam and became a safety engineer for NASA, where she spent many years keeping our space program safe. In her free time, Lesley was a talented pianist, artist, and jewelry maker and loved to be out in nature.
Ms. Guerin is survived by her companion and caretaker, Tommy Guerin of Arab; one daughter, Kathryn Crowe of Huntsville; two brothers, Lawrence Danforth and John Danforth, both of Michigan; and one sister, Janet Matsura, also of Michigan.
