Gretchen Mary Becker, aged 49, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2019 after a brief illness. Gretchen was born November 21, 1969, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Becker and Rebecca Mahaffey.
Gretchen settled in San Antonio, TX with her parents after their retirement from the military in 1985. Following graduation from Theodore Roosevelt High School, Gretchen resided in Texas until moving to Dunwoody, GA to live with her niece Veronica Bendler in January 2018.
Gretchen was a San Antonio Spurs fan, bowler, and enjoyed listening to country music, especially George Strait. Gretchen is survived by her brothers; Stephen of Madison, AL and Eric of San Antonio.
There will be a visitation at 10:15am on November 11, 2019 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1055 Hughes Road, Madison, AL 35758, followed by the Funeral at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd NE Huntsville, AL 35811. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Gretchen may be made to Hospice Family Care, 10000 Serenity Ln, Huntsville, AL 35803.
