Ronald Craig Cooper

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 for Ronald Craig Cooper, at Reynolds Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at 3:00 p.m.

He was born in Lompoc, CA, February 10, 1958. He was the third son of Howard Pate Cooper and Billy Jean Cooper. At age 7, in 1966, his mother remarried to Dale King and they moved to Bankok Thailand for four years.  Back to the states and home to Cleburn, TX, then to Langdon, ND. and then landed in Madison, AL in 1974 where he lived till moving to Triana in 2009, then to Decatur in 2015. He departed this life on October 28, 2019 in Decatur, AL.

He was a caregiver and also helped his sister for almost ten years with her MS. He worked his final years self-employed as a carpenter, home improvement and with a local plumbing company.

Ron loved a good time and he loved his alcohol. That was what we believed finally took him, COPD and Health issues related to a 40 year party.   Ron loved to sing and play guitar. He was very good and played the Blues. Ron loved the Alabama Crimson Tide and always wanted to see a game in Tuscaloosa, but never had the chance.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and stepfather.

His survivors include his brothers, Randall and Richard Cooper and their children; one sister, Robin Cooper Henegar; his stepmother, Carmen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
