Leonard Kenneth Mitchell 77, of Taft, TN died Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at his home.
Born Thursday, January 8, 1942 in Coldwater, TN, he was the son of Leonard Levoy (Chicken) Mitchell and Frances Rebecca Boggs Mitchell.
He worked 39 years at Amana and 50+ years as a master craftsman (woodworking and painting). His ministries included Sunday School teacher and Deacon at Cashpoint Baptist Church. He was a volunteer with Tennessee Disaster Relief, Samaritians Purse and participated in both home and foreign missions. He donated his time and talent for many in the community.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; grandchild, Noah.
He is survived by his wife , Leoma Mitchell, Taft, TN; daughters, Kendrea Pressnell, and Stacey Nichols, both of Taft, TN; son, Robert (Andrea) Mitchell, Chattanooga, TN; brother, Gary (Lil Chicken) Mitchell; sister, JoAnn (Billy) Shannon; grandchildren, Joy (Kenny) Biase, Dwain Norton, Angel Norton, Meagan (Jerrod) Kuhlman, Makayla (Adam) Bucklew, Timothy Mitchell, and Adrienne Pressnell; great-grandchildren, Bella, Stephen, Brenna, Olivia,
Silas, Dayton, Alice and Logan; many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. He will lie-in-state on Sunday from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
A Funeral Service will be Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Cash Point Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Bro. Derrick Moose officiating. Burial will be in Blanche Cemetery, Blanche, TN.
