Two Suspects Arrested In Shooting At Brass Monkey

FLORENCE-On Monday, October 28 the Florence Police Department issued a statement regarding the arrests of two suspects in the shooting at the Brass Monkey on Saturday night:

“On October 28, 2019, with information gathered in our investigation and multiple tips from the community, two arrests were made related to the shooting at The Brass Monkey on October 26, 2019. 

Members from the Florence Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Florence/Lauderdale SWAT team executed a search warrant and arrest warrant at a residence located at 90 Central Ave in the Central Heights

Community.  During this search warrant, 27-year-old Adonis Reese Butler was arrested.  This morning before the search warrant, 27-year-old Dakota Evans Reed turned himself in at the Florence Police Department. 

Both have been charged with Shooting Into an Occupied Building (Class B Felony) and Assault 2nd (Class C Felony).  At this time, they both have a bond of $32,500 and are being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
