FLORENCE-On Sunday, October 27 the Florence Police Department issued a statement regarding a shooting in Florence where one person was injured. The FPD is asking for information from anyone who may have been present or knows anything about this incident to give them a call:

“Saturday night, 10/26/19, at approximately 9:30 pm Patrol Officers with the Florence Police Department and Deputies with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department responded to a Shots Fired Call at the Brass Monkey night club on Darby Drive.
When officers arrived they secured the business and located one person that was injured. The injured person was transported by ambulance to NAMC but was treated and released a short time later.
Investigators were contacted and responded to the Brass Monkey. At this time, they are still at the night club collecting evidence and talking with witnesses. We are still attempting to identify the offender based on witness statements.
