Helen Keller Opens Newly Renovated ER With Grand Tour And Chamber Ribbon Cutting

SHEFFIELD-On Friday, October 25 Helen Keller Hospital hosted an open house to showcase their newly renovated ER.  Friends and family as well as staff were on hand to take a tour of the new ER.  The Shoals Chamber helped with with thededication by sponsoring a ribbon cutting.

Now a little about the newly renovated ER at Helen Keller Hospital:

“The complete emergency room renovation has expanded the capacity from 17 treatment rooms to 22. We have upgraded our triage area and flow and improved patient reception. The renovation has integrated lobby space into a combined ER/second hospital entrance. The emergency room now has the capacity to accommodate more than 50,000 visits per year.

 

“This new renovation and expansion allows us to better serve the people of our community well into the future,” said Kyle Buchanan, President of Helen Keller Hospital.”
