Richard William “Willie” Shawn Epnett, age 43, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at UAB Hospital.
Willie loved his family, but especially his grandchildren and was proud to be known as “Papaw”. He was always joking around and loved playing practical jokes and always keeping everyone laughing. He was the type of man if he liked you, he would do anything for you. His life motto was “to laugh, live, and love”.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Bro. Jim Lumpkin will officiate the service. Burial will be at Spruce Pine Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Nicole Barnett; children, Brittany Epnett, Tiffany Epnett, Brandon Barnett, Kaylen Barnett, Brooke Barnett, Angel Graham, Sydney Credur; grandchildren, Malakia, Chloe, Jordan, John, Ashton, Jaiden, McKenzie, Mia; brothers, John Anthony Trahan, Ben Vidrine; sister, Ali Vidrine; niece, McKinley; nephew, T-Ben; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ricky & Judy (Powdrill) Vidrine.
Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
